HOW AND WHAT TO SUBMIT
Unheard Corridors announce an open call for recorded sound art for their upcoming exhibition in October 2026.
We are seeking sound works (such as, but not limited to, soundscapes, field recordings, radio experiments, whakatangi, experimental noise, meditative sound baths, sonification, innovative approaches to radio and radical or challenging audio ideas).
Unheard Corridors aims to promote the medium of sound as an art form and encourage experimental approaches to making sound art that are not catered for by mainstream platforms. The call is open to artists, musicians and producers at any career stage. Submit an existing work or create work for this exhibition.
Submissions should be anything between one to five minutes long. Submit as many sound works as you like.
HOW TO SUBMIT
Audio submissions should be sent to unheardcorridors@gmail.com as a wav file.
If sending Soundcloud links please make sure they are download enabled. Google Drive users go to the ‘share’ dropdown menu and select ‘link’ rather than ‘share’. In the access options menu select ‘anyone with link’. That way you can simply send a link that we can download your audio from without having to request permission.
Audio files submitted should comply with the naming convention:
“Artist Name – Title of Piece”
If you would like to add some context please provide an artist statement (a paragraph or two). This can include a little about you as a sound maker, an explanation of the piece, your reason for creating it, and the tools/methods you used to create it, along with anything else you think is interesting or important for people to know about it. This is optional.
Imagery; if you have an accompanying image that you have created (or have permission to use) and are happy for us to use it on our website and social media please include it as well. However, this is not a necessary part of the submission. File names should follow the same format as the audio – artist name, followed by title of piece and any credits. Preferred format JPEG.
